EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
I- Social Inequality
- Article 1 : Social Inequality in Brazil: The People, Politics and the World Cup.
Bus drivers go on strike to protest against the Olympics, this had a huge impact of the Brazilians everyday lives as most of the citizens travel around the city by bus.
- Article 2 : Social Divisions
Sao Paolo is the richest city in Brazil, however social differences has a big contrast between the rich and the poor. Low class workers living here means long and sometimes dangerous commutes to and from work. Middle class people never walk around dangerous neighbourhoods or favelas. Even though they live close to each other, they seem to have completely different lives just between their own community.
II- Economic inequalities
- Article 3 : World Cup, corporation with Fifa.
Since the Olympics elections, Brazilians are taking the advantage of the large focuse of media to denounce what is really happening : children are being kidnapped daily, evictions are very common. An independent Danish journalist, posted an article on his Facebook page saying he was horrified by the human rights violations in Brazil.
III- The effects of the crisis

Thanks to the Olympics, the government sees a victory for the economy as well: more jobs, foreign investment and tourism would spark the beginning of a new Brazilian boom and long-term benefits.
IV- Problems caused by the organization of the 2014 FIFA

Violent and deadly has occurred in Brazil to protest about sporting events being taken too seriously.
One reason is the money spent on excessive debauchery stages, when poverty and inequality are still immense.

Thousands of people are seeing their life changing in a bad way as they are being moved to another neighbourhood in order to prepare the Olympics. Their work, and schools for their children are 20km far and have no transportation. Even worse, some poor areas are being bulldozed, leaving citizens left with nothing but 5,000 dollars.
